RIP Cotton Nixon

Post by David Griffin »

Milburn "Cotton" Nixon passed away January 11,2010. Cotton was a legendary fiddler from Shirley,Arkansas. He played with a ton of country music legends, from Loretta Lynn to Bob Wills. One of the best swing fiddlers ever. He was quite a character & a great story teller,as all who knew him will attest. We will miss him dearly.

Tony: He would've been 88 on March 11th. He never slowed down as far as his playing,he was strong to the end!

I have many fond memories of Cotton . Even made an album with him for a friend of ours one time . I still have a copy. At least I can still listen to him play . He was quite a fellow .
