Doug Jernigan on WC Edgar's 'I Need A PBR ASAP!'
I have used Mike Johnson on all of my Nashville sessions up until this one
I just wanted a 60's old school Bakersfield vibe and Doug came through with flying colors
Brent Mason was on Tele and I know he was always a big Bakersfield sound cat too!

That was really great!.. very well sung and played! Doug sounds as good as he did 40 years ago.. I LOVED the little old school I-IV cliche' lick he did at the end.. Heard it a million times, played it 10 million, but to my ears, its never sounded so good... That was a fun, feel good listen!
I'm over the hill and hittin'rocks on the way down!

Great groove, good song. I love the bass player's choices.

Great record, W.C. I enjoyed every thing about it. That's what country music is supposed to sound like. I got to see Doug live one time at a steel show in Norwalk Connecticut. He blew me away with how fast and clean he can play.
