This was the first really big convention, and the first one at the old Chase-Park Plaza Hotel. Scotty's steel shows (with a variety of players) started in '71, but he had a few one-artist shows before that. I was at this show, along with a few local players, and taped the whole thing (three days' worth) with my cassette recorder, but the fidelity is nothing like this!
