Earl, do you remember a guy, (20-25 yrs. ago) named Darrel Chapman that came down to Nashville as a lead guitar player. He got murdered not long after he got there. He was a childhood friend of mine and I remember him driving everyone nuts practicing on that old Gibson. Just wondered if anyone noticed him while he was there.

When he was a kid, his glasses were always broken and held together with scotch tape or bandaids. Word was that his daddy whipped on him some. I remember how proud I was to see him just kill folks on Yaketty Ax out at the old 121 Club up here in Decatur, Illinois when he was about 18. I was just thinking about him...wish I had got to play with him.
